Ho ho ho Merry Christmas

Hello friends

We are still in Yamba NSW, enjoying the devine weather! We are also enjoying our home on wheels! If you have missed my previous posts, we sold our home in Redland Bay near Brisbane QLD and we bought a Camper Trailer.

This is us all packed up, ready for our trip of a life time, on 8 December.

Ive left some wonderful friends in Brisbane! Some of the best people I’ll ever know! Thank goodness for the internet, facebook and email! 🙂

I thought I would pop in today and share with you a few favourite pics from our trip so far.

Its sweltering here!

Hi ya

I am sitting in our air conditioned tent at the moment. I have a sick girl, as I keep an eye on her, I thought I would write and say hi. Hi 🙂

I have heard from friends in Brisbane that it is very wet! They are complaining that it is wet! And I am in sweltering heat, dreaming of some cooler weather!

Weve not been doing much – just swimming.

Love and blessings from Yamba, NSW!

Lisa 🙂

We are in Yamba

We left Brisbane yesterday it was humid and wet! We arrived in Yamba at 6pm, to set up our new camper trailer, which was a breeze, its just everything else that needs to go in the camper that takes the time LOL! Good thing we are here for 18 days!

The weather here is hot and dry with a little wind to keep us cool. It is devine! The kids and I have spent most of the day in the pool. Until I found a poo! Yes a poo! The kids were most upset! Oh well – there is another pool that we will check out after lunch.

I hope you are having a great day! Catch you later!

Homeless but happy!

Tonight we are staying with Irish friends in Victoria Point, having a few drinks and some laughs. It is awesome!

My bestie welcomed me home today, when I had a cuppa tea with her! I found it funny, as we sold our house on Friday, had 3 nights at a unit in Maroochydore – which was lovely! It rained the whole time which was unfortunate, but the whole East Coast of Australia is having a massive storm system at the moment – with lots of flooding – there has been 500 million dollars worth of damage to crops  in one day! Its just heartbreaking for the farmers! And it will be horrible in a few months for consumers with MAJOR price increases!

It is nice to be in our  area! But I had to tell Kerry that we are homeless now. We pick up our Camper Trailer tomorrow! She is going to look after my youngest for me, as we are going to spend loads of time in the truck tomorrow!

I thought I would share with you what we are buying tomorrow! Its been 5 weeks in the making and we are looking forward to seeing our new home. It is a Trackabout Off Road Camper.

Thanks for stopping by!

Love Lisa 🙂

New email address

Our computer crashed 😦 so we have had to purchase a new laptop 🙂 as we have left our home now, Telstra could not give us the same email address – so we have a new one – hamish.16@bigpond.com

For those friends who I normally contact via email, you’ve not heard from me, as when the computer crashed, I lost your address 😦

Please write me at the new email address.

Bless this house

Hi there. Thanks for popping in!

My family and I left our sold family home of 5 years this afternoon, to start a new chapter in our lives.

As Gavin was finishing loading the truck, I grabbed Hamish to go through the house. We started in the garage, walked through the lounge into the kitchen and dining into the laundry, onto Cait’s room, my craft room, Hamish’s room and the 2 way bathroom into the main bedroom. Hamish and I prayed a blessing for the new owners, that they would love the home as much as we did and it would continue to be a wonderful family home for them.

As I was walking through the house, a blessing that my Nana used to have in her home (on a plaque), came to my mind and I thought I would share it with you. I have often thought about it over the years. My Nana died soon after my family and I arrived in Australia 5 1/2 years ago, I was just so devastated as she was like a Mum to me! As well as a good friend! And shopping companion! 🙂 I have always wondered what happened to her plaque.

You may know it.

Bless this house, Oh Lord we pray, Make it safe both night and day, Bless these walls so firm and stout, Keeping want and trouble out

Bless the roof and chimneys tall, Let thy peace lie over all, Bless this door that it may prove, Ever open to joy and love

Bless these windows shining bright, Letting in God’s heavenly light, Bless the hearth, a-blazing there, With smoke ascending like a prayer

Bless the people here within, Keep them pure and free from sin, Bless us all that we may be, Fit Oh Lord to dwell with thee.

Thanks again for stopping in! Take care and I will be in touch again very soon!

Blessings upon you and your house!

Lisa 🙂
