On ANZAC day – 25th April we travelled to Phillip Island. It was a wierd morning weather wise! There was fog everywhere! We left home at 9am, but by the time we got to Phillip Island it was a beautiful day, blue skies and sunny! 🙂 We didnt really know where to go, so we pretty much drove around the Island until we come across Cowes Main Beach, where we played beach cricket, had some lunch and went for a walk. It was a lovely day and it was so relaxing! Here are some photos. 🙂
In the weekend, we all went to the Melbourne Zoo. In my opinion it certainly is the best of the 3 we have visited. It was awesome! We only saw 1/3 of the zoo due to the children being tired, but as we have a years pass, we will go again soon!
Sorry about the quality of the photos! I didnt have my camera battery charged, so I had to use my cell!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week! Lisa 🙂
This coming Wednesday Caitlin will go back to school and Hamish and I will start again with our home schooling. Over the school holidays I wanted to make the most of the 18 days and do something with the kids everyday. Most days we have done something, whether it be crafting, visiting people or the library, going up the street doing jobs etc.
Gavin has bought a pass to Victoria Zoos. Last week we went to Healesville Sanctuary, which we enjoyed. In the week I took Hamish ( 9 years 6 months) and Cait (7 years 3 months) to the Werribee Open Range Zoo, which is very close to home. It is a very interactive zoo and the kids enjoyed themselves. Hamish made the comment that he would like to be a Zoo Keeper when he grows up, much like myself who wanted to work with animals, I was a Veterinary Nurse for 4 1/2 years, once I completed Year 12 at school.
We went on a 45 minute Safari Tour in a bus and saw lots of different animals – Antelopes, Zebras, Giraffe, Camels, Ostriches, Bison, Rhinos, Russian Horses and Hippos. We got off the bus and walked around the Pula Reserve Trail and saw Lions, Meerkats and African Wild Dogs.
I hope you enjoy my photos! Thanks again for visiting!
Last week we went to Healesville Sanctuary. We drove through the Yarra Valley, it was so beautiful driving through all the vineyards. It reminded Gavin and I of Marlborough in New Zealand. We also passed a sign for the snow, so we will go back there in Winter!
I really enjoyed seeing the Platapus, which were smaller than I thought they would be. And the Brolga’s which I’d only ever seen in books. Gavin enjoyed the Flight Arena Show. The kids enjoyed themselves, but after walking nearly 3 kms they were tired and ready to leave as the park was closing.
For some screwy reason, my photos want to be before my writing, so it will be a different format, until I can figure out how to change that! Thanks for visiting! Please leave me some comment love! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
When we first got to our rental in Wyndham Vale I wanted to find the closest Scrapbooking shop. While using Google, I found Kylie Bertucci, a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator close by 🙂 how very excited was I?!? Especially when I found out that she run card making workshops. These are the gorgeous cards that we have made over the past 2 sessions.
I am still really struggling not having my crafty stuff with me! I spoke to my good friend Nat yesterday, who has my stuff, she understands!
But now that Ive been to a couple of classes Ive met some scrapping friends and we are meeting next week to scrap, which I will absolutely love! I dont have much stuff, but I will use what I was sent by my lovely friend Emily from Brisbane, and the few supplies that I have bought since being here.
Hope you enjoy seeing some of my creations in the coming months.
Thanks for visiting! Hope you are having a good Easter so far!
Take care! 🙂
A few weeks back my neighbour Ayse, with her 2 children Eren and Ela and I with mine went along to the Werribee Craft Market. Our children together were a feral force, but we pushed through and got around all of the market. It was wonderful to go along and experience all the lovely stalls! Despite the 4 children misbehaving.
At the same time, in another paddock was some sort of Fire peoples Championships. We all enjoyed that! There was lots to look at.
Ayse who is from Turkey, has been in Melbourne for 8 years, but she had never been to the Victoria State Rose Gardens, so I had to take her! She loved it and so did the kids! 🙂
So here are some photos from the day, for some crazy reason my photos want to be first today! 🙂
While we are travelling, I knew that I would not be able to create over that time, so I have recently asked my good friend Sally to be a guest on my blog. I have known Sally for approximately 11 years, She is married, has 2 boys and lives in Nelson, New Zealand. She inspires me to think outside my comfort zone!
I hope you enjoy Sally’s creations! 🙂 Why dont you leave some comment love. Thanks for visiting!
