I just have to share a really funny photo! On Sunday, after arriving back from the Twelve Apostles, Gavin thought he’d better wash the work truck. With such severe water restrictions here in Victoria, you have to go to a car wash! Hamish helped Gavin last time, so it was Cait’s turn this time round! She was so excited! And she did a good job as well! I snapped away from the safety of the truck! Here are some pics of the cheeky monkey! 🙂
Ive been a follower of Makeesha Byl’s for approxiamately 3 1/2 years. I used to regularly play along with Keesh’s challenges, before we started travelling.
This challenge is an old one, but I liked the look of it. You can check out Keesh’s challenges at http://inkspirations-challenges.blogspot.com/p/past-sketch-challenges.html My card is more basic than the actual sketch but I like it!
I am actually going to be sending this card to Keesh and her hubby, as they are due any day with baby No. 5! What a brave woman she is! 🙂 Just kidding! I pray that she has a speedy and safe delivery! All the very best Keesh!
I have a few friends due over the next few months, I like this sketch so much, I will have to create some more!
Thanks for visiting! Take care! Lisa 🙂
1 June – Ive just heard that Keesh has had her baby! Joshiah Bryn Byl was born on 31 May at 11pm, 8pds 15 oz! All going very well! Congratulations Keesh and Rod and family! Fantastic news! I can send their card now! 🙂
Every week Gavin asks me what I want to do in the weekend. This week I said Id love to go see The Twelve Apostles! So that’s what we did!
We left home on Saturday at lunch time and headed for Apollo Bay. The Great Ocean Road reminded Gavin and I of the Kaikoura Coastline, in New Zealand! Simply beautiful! 🙂
Every bay seemed to be filled with surfers! We enjoyed watching a few catching the big waves!
We stayed in a spa cabin, which was lovely! The kids and I enjoyed having a spa! The bath at our rental is really too small to enjoy!
The weather was warm and we stayed dry! It was supposed to rain, but it kept away! 🙂
Here are some of the photos.
Ive started going along to Natalie Todeschini’s house for card making, last night we made 3 projects! I was wrapped! I love the Happy Birthday one, as its using my favourite DSP – Greenhouse Gala, I love Pear Pizzaz and Baja Blue! I have loved the colour green for as long as I can remember, I think I was 7 or 8 years old! The second project was a Gift Card Wallet using Tempting Turquoise and So Saffron, the DSP is Play Date. And the third project was Hip-hippo-ray! From Pun Fun – I have always loved this set and dont yet own it, but may have to now! 🙂 So the colours are Cherry Cobbler and Pumpkin Pie – they are not colours I own – so its fun to make different cards using different sets and colours!
Also Nat has started Versi Designs on facebook. I adored her work a few months ago at the Werribee Craft Market and last weekend I saw her at the Flemington Market also, I had to purchase the “Family” from her! At $40 it is so super affordable! I know that I couldnt buy all the products for that! So thanks Nat! 🙂 Why dont you go onto facebook and check out what she has to offer?! For my coffee loving friends she does some “Coffee” ones!
A month or so ago Skye-Lee had me and Lizzie over for a scrapping session. Afterwards I said to Skye-Lee that we should plan to make a regular thing of it. She is such a busy girl, she has 3 jobs, so its a little difficult to pin a date down. But we met on Sunday. Lizzie couldnt make it, so it was just the two of us.
She took me to the Flemington Craft Market, which was lovely! The weather was a little cool and it looked like rain, so there werent alot of people about. After an hour or so we headed back to her place for lunch, she made us some delicious Nacho’s! Better than a restaurant!
After lunch we got to stamping! 🙂 What fun! To stamp the afternoon away! Fantastic company and crafting to boot! 🙂 Thanks Skye-Lee! She has just become a SU demo, which is so exciting! I will be attending her launch in a few weeks!
So here are 4 cards I made. Marelle Taylor (blog list) often does sets, so I thought thats what I would do. I am loving using my set, Bliss, that my gorgeous friend Emily Elcome gave me. So here are 4 more using the Bliss set.
Hope you like! Thanks for visiting! Lisa 🙂
My neighbour and friend Ayse and her 2 kids Eren and Ela are off to Turkey tomorrow first thing in the morning. They will be gone for 10 weeks, which is very sad (for me and my kids). It will be fantastic for her, as she has not seen her parents for a number of years.
I first met Ayse within a few days of getting our rental property. She came along and introduced herself and we have been sharing cups of tea ever since, that was 3 months ago. The 4 kids enjoy playing with each other also.
This is the card I made for her, to say farewell and thanks for her friendship and to enjoy her time with her family and friends. I will miss her for sure! So will my kids!
This card was inspired by Teneale (blog roll). I wasnt too happy with the card until I added some Kindy Glitz for that bit of bling! 🙂
We’ve had some perfect weather here in Melbourne lately! Thursday was a warm and sunny 22! Friday a comfortable sunny 19, and Saturday was supposed to rain, but it didnt look like it was going to, so we headed off for a drive. The boys had been for a bike ride, to spend some quality time together. Cait and I had showers and got ready to go out. We didnt know where to! 🙂 I think thats what keeps it interesting! Anyway, getting back to the story. The boys had found some ducks, so thats where we headed first.
Then we headed for Point Cook Reserve, we’ve never been before. The kids had fun climbing in a fort and playing with a little boy that was there. Then we went for a walk and found a beach! Caitlin is just in heaven if there is a beach, with sand! So she happily built sandcastles with Gavin and Hamish! While I looked for the perfect shells for her creations. It was just one of those really lovely days that make you feel so blessed!
Here are some pics, they dont really show the actual joy we were all experiencing, but I thought I would share anyway! I hope you enjoy, thanks for visiting!
