Im back into doing the weekly challenges with Stampin 411!
Fabulous Flowers is a brand new set for me, a whole 1 day old! 🙂 ! Ive never played with it before and although its retired and long gone, I really wanted this set. As I am no longer a demo and Im just creating for myself, it no longer matters that I use retired stamp sets! So although the Americans, who are visitng my site, may think, “Flip thats an old set!” Just please think its a new one for me! I hope you like it!
As soon as I saw the sketch I knew what I wanted to use! 🙂 My camera is not taking good photos at the moment, so I had to use my cell phone – please excuse the poor photo! If you click on the image, it will enlarge for you.
Thanks so much for visiting! Take care!
One of my good friends Mel had a baby boy a few months ago, while we were travelling, so I promised her to make her a card and send it to her, when we got settled in Brisbane.
I made this card a few weeks ago and only just posted it off to Christchurch, New Zealand, yesterday.
So this card is to celebrate the birth of Liam to my bridesmaid Mel and her hubby Wayne! Congratulations guys! I know he will be a real blessing in your lives! 🙂
I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by! Take care, until next time! 🙂
Since being back in Brisbane, QLD, Australia Ive not had much of a chance to create, Im still unpacking all my stamping supplies and thinking “Flip I have alot!” LOL 🙂
Now that Im getting semi organised I thought I would pop on over to the Stamping 411 Blog and get some inspiration from the girls over there! Ive been following them for ages! This week we have 2 sketches to play with, or to choose from! Thanks for the awesome sketches this week girls! 🙂
I was going to use Fox and Friends for this challenge, but as that’s all Ive been using of late (see previous posts) I thought I would try something different for a change! 🙂
Its a rainy day here in Brisbane! First day in 5 weeks that its rained! Perfect crafting weather! The kids are busy watching a dvd, Gavin is reading in our room and Im in my craft room – YAY! 🙂
Im not exceptionally happy with how this looks, but for now this is it! Also my camera is playing up! Majorly! Sorry for the poor shots!
Thanks for stopping by! Please leave me some comment love 🙂
In the week, Gavin asked me for a card.
Why? I asked.
Cos you love me came the reply.
Oh yeah – I guess I could make you a card! 🙂
So for a few days now I have been thinking about it, what could I make him? I looked at my various sets and thought oh – Ive only used that set once! LOL! 🙂
I got some inspiration from ‘the stampin bean’ on Splitcoast Stampers – here is her card.
And Gavin’s card, cos “I love him!” 🙂 I hope you like it, thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Friday was Rebecca’s last day, she is very pregnant with her first baby – a boy!
Julianne our Classroom Parent Representative organised a ‘baby shower’ for her – it was very loud, as the kids were so excited, but lots of fun! The kids had to guess how big Bec’s tummy was, we had to guess the melted chocolate in the nappy and we played pin the dummy on the baby. Amanda another class Mum made a yummy cake and lots of cup cakes. Caitlin and her partner won the guess the belly game and Cait won the dummy game! What a proud Mummy moment! LOL!
I just wanted to share some photos from the day and the cards I gave Bec as a Thankyou!
Thanks for stopping by! Till next time, take care! 🙂
Kerry and I have been friends for 5 years now, I met her thru a playgroup I used to run with some friends at our local Church. She came with a neighbour, just fresh off the boat from NZ (Kiwi slang), well she is no longer friends with that girl, but she is one of my besties! How I thank God for her! She has been a life saver on certain occasions! 🙂
This is Kerry’s card that I made for her! She had an absolutely awesome birthday! I got to hang out with her for ages the day before and for 45 minutes at Curves on her birthday, she is a Circuit Coach there, and as she is my friend, my Personal Trainer! She has inspired me to work hard at Curves over the last month and Im proud to say that Ive lost 2.3Kgs 🙂 Pat on the back Lisa! LOL! 🙂
So anyways the card, is in her favourite colours – Red and Yellow, Ive used one of my favourite DSPs for it! Greenhouse Gala, (its still current here in Australia). I really like how it turned out. Kerry is not very crafty, so anything I make her she loves, which Im grateful for of course! 🙂 Please excuse my photos! I think my camera is going to die soon! Its taking very sad photos!

This is a post about my friend and Caitlin’s Teacher – Rebecca.
I worked in her Prep room in 2009, while doing my Teacher Aid training. She was such a pleasure to work with!
Caitlin was lucky enough to get her as a Teacher last year and again this year (as I have repeated her, after returning to Redland Bay from our 7 1/2 month travelling stint).
Rebecca is pregnant with her first – a boy! She is so excited!
Our classroom parent representative, Julianne, organised a basket of goodies for her, everyone contributed from the classroom. Here is the card I made for her, I am very happy with it! I hope you like it!
All the best Bec for the remainder of your time at school, your weeks off and then the birth! I cant wait to meet your new little man! Lots of love! 🙂
