Vintage Cherish for Gemma

Hi there and thanks for stopping by!

This past week, Gavin has been away for work. I had hoped to craft and clear the kitchen table, throughout the week, but I only just got a small window of opportunity late yesterday.

A few days ago a new friend, Gemma (Sister in law to my crafting friend Marina) had a birthday. I was a bit upset with myself, as I thought I had till the 27th to make her a card, I asked her a few weeks ago her favourite colours, they are – Hot Pink, Fluro Pink and Black.

Initially I was going to use Melon Mambo, as that is pretty bright, then I thought, no, I have some Pixie Pink somewhere, I will use that! A couple of weeks ago I made a card for my friend Donna, who made me a gorgeous beanie! Ive used the same technique for this card – embossing my KaiserCraft Vintage Cherish onto Whisper White cardstock, and brayering Pixie Pink ink from my Stampin Spot collection. You may notice that there is more colour saturation on the main image, that is because I just kept adding colour until I was happy with it. I embossed Flutterby onto the Pixie Pink cardstock base card and raised my Whisper White on dimensionals for a little bit of lift. Im not sure if Pixie Pink is considered Neon or Fluro, but that was the look I was after, Im hoping to run into Gemma or her hubby at the gym, so I hope she will have it soon! I hope she likes it! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks again for stopping by! I hope to be back again soon with some more creations! ๐Ÿ™‚

Simple welcome baby

Hi there and thanks for stopping by!

A few weeks ago, a friend asked me to make a special card for a friend who was about to have a baby. The baby has now been born.

My friend wanted pastel colours, so I have worked with that, its a bit plain, but its grown on me.

Thanks for stopping by!

Take care!

Embossing some new Kaisercraft stamps

Hi there and thanks for stopping by!

My Victorian blogging friend Robyn came to visit me a few days ago. She has lived in Brisbane for about 8 months now, and we’ve managed to catch up a few times, but with an overseas wedding and buying a house, moving and the general stress of day to day life, it had been about 6 months since our last visit.

I bought some new Kaisercraft stamps a few weeks ago from a facebook crafting site, so I got them out and got playing! I didn’t quite know what I wanted to do, so started off embossing on Whisper White SU cardstock, then brayering my chosen colour over the image. Looks quite effective I think! ๐Ÿ™‚ I played with different coloured cardstock and different coloured powders. Im not quite sure what Im going to come up with yet, but this is a start! ๐Ÿ™‚

Stampin Up Gorgeous Grunge

Hi there and thanks for stopping by

I made this card last weekend at my friend and demonstrator’s house – Flick. It was her launch day for the new catalogue!

I love the colours and the grungy feel! Gorgeous Grunge is on the top of my wish list!

Ornate Blossom For Sandra

Hi there and thanks for stopping by

Ive had a chance to craft for some special peeps recently, the latest is this, for Sandra, a friend from Church.

I text her a few days ago and asked her favourite colour, she replied Burgandy. I don’t like SU Bravo Burgandy, so went with Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White.

The stamp set, Ornate Blossom, though retired, is brand new for me, I bought it over a year ago and Ive never used it! I remember somewhere in blog land someone embossing it, so thought I would try that, I cant say I was happy with how it turned out, as it was patchy in different places, but the more I tried to improve it, the more it seemed to happen. I played with the Cherry Cobbler embossing powder too, for the first time, cant say Im too impressed.

The butterfly background is clear embossed, the Daffodil Delight greeting was embossed in Black, then clear embossed with the butterfly, to give a watermark type effect.

The Washi tape is from Kaszazz, everything else is SU.

Kaisercraft Cherish

Hi there and thanks for stopping by

A week or so ago, my gorgeous friend Donna offered to make me a beanie. Which I just thoroughly appreciated! I soooo love wearing it! Its gorgeous! ๐Ÿ™‚

So I wanted to let her know that I really appreciated her act of generosity and kindness! Yesterday while my crafting pal Robyn was here, I text her and asked her favourite colour and got crafting.

The stamp set is a new one for me from Kaisercraft, it has been embossed on white SU cardstock, then brayered with Bashful Blue ink, the scalloped edge dsp is from Kaszazz, as well as the background butterfly and the washi tape.

I hope she likes it! I do! ๐Ÿ™‚
